The 11th Asia Cup tournament will be going on from 12 March to 22 March 2012 and Asia Cup 2012 played in Bangladesh. The 1st match of the tournament will be between Pakistan and Bangladesh at Shree Bangla Stadium.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have announced that the 1st edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) that will get started on the 9th February 2012. BPL Teams will be allowed to field five foreign players in their XIs that as opposed to four in the IPL.
